Sony Pictures Animation has released six new character posters as revealed at this year's CinemaCon
CinemaCon 2023 has officially started today with new movie news coming from even the simplest displays at this year’s event, with new character posters for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse being one of them, it’s safe to say that there will be plenty of new updates for anticipated projects lined up to release in 2023 and 2024. The convention is typically for movie theatre business owners and industry professionals, with large movie studios such as Paramount. Sony Pictures, Disney, Warner Bros. Pictures, Universal, plus more also attend to promote their upcoming projects.
The event starts today Monday, April 24, and will end on Thursday, April 27, which means four glorious days of movie news and updates from various studios in regard to various projects that have an extremely large audience waiting for their release. Along with new poster displays throughout the halls of the event’s venue, trailers and new footage are also typically released during the schedule of events, however, not all footage is released publicly as some remain exclusive to CinemaCon itself, but it should be safe to assume that some new trailers will be hitting people’s screens at home this week.
New ‘Across The Spider-Verse’ Character Posters
Six new character posters are currently on display at this year’s CinemaCon, one for each main Spider-Person who will play a large role during the events of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, sequel to Into The Spider-Verse, with Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Woman, Spider-Man India, and Spider-Punk all getting the character poster treatment.
New additions to the franchise include Oscar Isaac who plays Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, however, Isaac’s character was briefly teased during the post-credit scene of the first instalment Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Next is Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman who is voiced by Issa Rae, Pavitr Prabhakar aka Spider-Man India who is voiced by Karan Soni, and lastly Hobie Brown aka Spider-Punk who is voiced by Daniel Kaluuya, with all new variants being members of the Spider Society who are seen hunting Miles Morales down in the official trailer for the sequel.
